Can you remove my laptop battery to extend its life?

Can you remove my laptop battery to extend its life?
some people remove the laptop battery  before running computer.because they want to preserve her laptop battery. Should they remove it before running the computer on AC power?
Doing so is probably the best practice, but it's a hassle that most people, including me, don't want to bother with. My laptop spends most of its time plugged into AC power, with a fully-charged battery inside.
Heat from the running computer can shorten the  laptop battery life. For that matter, the heat from the battery doesn't do the computer any good, either. And depending on how smart your laptop is about power issues, it may be draining and recharging the laptop battery as it runs--which could further wear it out.
That's why the best possible practice is to work most of the time on AC power with the battery out. Then, a few hours before you plan to run the PC off the battery, shut down the laptop, unplug it, put in the laptop battery, plug in the AC power, and let it charge for a few hours. But really, who's organized enough to do that?
So here's what I recommend: If your laptop is likely to remain plugged for the next week or more, shut it down, remove the battery, and stick to AC power. (You should never remove or insert the laptop  while the laptop is on, even in sleep or standby mode.) However, if you use it unplugged with any sort of frequency, keep the laptop battery in.
There's something else to consider: If you live in an area with frequent power outages, the laptop battery is also protecting you from sudden crashes caused by loss of power. In that situation, you may want to keep the laptop battery in--or invest in an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS).
Generally speaking, the laptop battery is very important for the laptop,we must take car of it.

Do you know how to solve the problem that the laptop battery brings you ?(2)

Do you know how to solve the problem that the laptop battery brings you ?(2)

Today, then yesterdays topic, some questions about laptop battery.I hope your battery problems can be improved.

If I install a modular bay battery, are my primary and modular bay batteries working at the same time to power my laptop computer?

No, the modular bay battery is used first, then the system automatically switches to the primary  laptop battery. This is a deliberate design to allow the most amount of run time to remain in the primary  laptop battery in case the modular bay battery is removed and replaced with an optical drive.

For what use is the strip of LED lights on my laptop  battery?

Most laptop  batteries have an LED indicator that allows users to see how much run time and how much overall battery life are available at the touch of a button. To check laptop  battery charge, press the button and the number of lights that appear will tell you charge status. If all lights appear, you have a fully charged battery. Each light that appears accounts for approximately 20% charge. To check the laptop  battery health, press and hold the status button on the battery charge gauge for at least 3 seconds. If no lights appear, the battery is in good condition and approximately more than 80 percent of its original charge capacity remains. Each light represents incremental degradation. If five lights appear, approximately less than 60 percent of the charge capacity remains, and you should consider replacing the laptop battery.

What does  recommend for laptop battery storage for a long period of time?

1.When storing for more than 4 days these guidelines can better preserve the life of your battery :2.Do not store laptop  batteries for long periods plugged into or attached to any power source. This includes AC adapters and laptop security carts plugged into an outlet.3.Laptop batteries, including those stored in laptop systems, should maintain an Operational Storage Temperature of 0° to 35°C (32° to 95°F).Batteries may be stored in the laptop or outside of the laptop.4.Charge batteries before storing. The recommended charging time should not exceed 1 hour. Typically, this should charge the battery to between 80% and 100%. (Some discharge will take place over time. Stored laptop  batteries are expected to discharge 10-15% over a four month period, for your information.)

What is a battery slice?

Some  laptops have a battery that attaches to the bottom of the system, providing additional runtime for the laptop.

What can I do to make my laptop battery last longer?

There are several things you can do to make your laptop battery last longer :1.Choose the right battery. Under the same use conditions, a lower capacity battery will wear out faster than a higher capacity battery because it has to be charged more often.2.Use the laptop battery 's saving controls to reduce battery use in your normal day. For example, turn the Bluetooth off if it is not needed; reduce the screen brightness when conditions permit.3.Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. If the system is exposed to extreme cold or hot temperatures, allow it to warm up/cool down before use and before charging.Contrary to last decades' batteries, modern lithium ion batteries do not need to be fully discharged to maintain health. All laptop  batteries wear with use and time. When you find the runtime is no longer satisfactory, it may be time to purchase a new laptop battery.

Should I completely discharge my laptop  battery before I charge it?

No, with current lithium ion batteries this practice does not improve the runtime of the battery. This practice is a holdover from the days in which NiMH batteries were usedDo I need to charge my  laptop battery fully when I get a new system or a new battery? While not required, it is recommended to fully charge your battery..

I generally do not unplug/undock my laptop. Does this hurt the battery?

No, the laptop battery has built in controls which stop the charging process when the battery is full.

How do I check the Health of my laptop battery?

I  advise you to check the health of your battery regularly. Battery life will decline over time. Batteries are a consumable item

Why does the battery have a different warranty period than my system?

Standard battery warranty is one year. Batteries are a consumable item. All batteries degrade with time and use. The warranty is very similar to common auto warranties which exclude consumable items such as tires.  .

Why Does My Portable laptop  Battery Indicate Less Than 100% Charge in Microsoft Windows?

      Battery Charge Reporting in Windows
When the  laptop battery charge is fully charged to 100%, the Charge Field Effect Transistor (FET) will stop charging the battery. Afterwards, the battery will naturally discharge during use. When the  laptop battery charge drops to 95%, the Charge FET will begin to apply a trickle charge to the battery and again charge the battery to 100%. This is working as designed and is intended to extend the physical life of the battery.
Battery Charge Reporting in System Setup
If you enter the System Setup utility (BIOS), the battery charge should be reported at 100%. If it is not, charge the  laptop battery until it reaches 100% in the BIOS.
Yesterday and today, basically the laptop battery most of the problems are explained in detail, there are other problems, I hope you continue to pay attention to my blog, continue to understand!
Good luck!

Do you know how to solve the problem that the laptop battery brings you ?

Do you know how to solve the problem that the laptop battery brings you ?

This article has information to common questions about laptop battery including how to choose the best  battery for you; battery life and how to make your laptop battery last longer between charges; how to install and charge your battery, and much more
most laptops use lithium ion batteries, which can swell for a variety of reasons such as age, number of charge cycles, or exposure to high heat. While a swollen pack does not represent a safety concern, damaged or swollen components should not be used. Should you have an issue with a laptop battery pack swelling, we recommend discontinuing use and replacing it with a replacement battery.
Note : Please see the title of the section  below, in order to see the contents.

How long does your laptop battery last? When should I consider replacing it ?

All rechargeable batteries wear out with time and usage. As time and cumulative use increase, the performance will degrade. For the typical user, noticeable reduction in run time generally will be observed after 18 to 24 months. For a power user, reduction in run time generally may be experienced prior to 18 months. We recommend buying a new laptop battery when the run time does not meet your needs. Information on Extending the Life of your Battery.

How should I choose between two laptop  batteries with different Watt hours (Whr) available on one system?

A Higher Watt hours (Whr) on the same system under the same operating conditions will generally deliver longer battery run time. For example, if you compare the same system, running the same applications, the 53Whr laptop battery would provide approximately 65% more run time than the 32Whr battery.

How should I choose the right battery for my new system?

When choosing a laptop battery, the main quality that you need to consider is the amount of energy that can be stored in a battery. This is measured in Watt- Hours (Whr). For longer runtime per charge, choose a laptop battery with a greater Whr rating
     If you want

Note: When used under the same conditions, a lower capacity  laptop battery will wear out faster than a higher capacity battery because it has to be charged more often.

How do I charge my  laptop battery? How long does it take for a  laptop battery to fully recharge?

The battery charges in the laptop when the laptop is connected to an AC power source via the AC adapter. The charge time varies depending on the system. If the system supports ExpressChargeT™ , the laptop battery typically will have greater than 80% charge after about an hour of charging, and fully charge in about 2 hours with the system off.

What is ExpressCharge™?

For a system advertised as having the ExpressCharge™ feature, the  laptop battery typically will have greater than 80% charge after about an hour of charging and fully charge in about 2 hours with the system off.

Can a laptop battery be "overcharged"?

No, the battery is designed to stop using the charger when it reaches full charge.

When docked or AC adapter is plugged into a wall outlet, am I using my battery charge?

           No

Is it easy to install a laptop battery?

Is it easy to install a battery? Yes, very easy. First, make sure all open files are saved. Be sure to remove the Ac Adapter and that the computer is off before trying to install or replace a laptop battery.

What is a modular bay battery?

In some laptop systems ,it offers a  laptop battery that can be used in the optical drive media bay (DVD/CD drive bay). This enables the use of two  laptop batteries, potentially extending the available run time.

What can I do to improve my laptop battery life?

What can I do to improve my laptop battery life?

If your laptop is shutting down abruptly, it means your laptop needs to be Recalibrated  . Recalibration doesn't improve  laptop battery life - Windows is simply better informed on how long it should expect your battery to last. Here are instructions:How to Calibrate Your Laptop Battery For Accurate Battery Life Estimates
Li-ion batteries lose approx 20% of capacity per year at room temperature. If  your laptop is over 5 years old, the capacity loss you are experiencing is normal. If you continue to run the battery through several deep discharge cycles, it's capacity will drop even further.
There are a couple of troubleshooting steps you can try, but these are for when capacity is lower than expected. This is not the case for you, so I suspect they will do you no good.
1.Force-reset Microsoft battery drivers - to do this, remove your  laptop battery, power up your laptop, go into device manager and uninstall all drivers listed under 'Battery'. Then shut down the machine, re-install the battery and power it up again.
2.Upgrade your BIOS - You should be on version 3.10.
3.Check for laptop heat issues - Battery capacity can be severely impaired if a nearby component is overheating due to blocked vents or dusty fans.
4.Cool the battery down (caution advised!) - Wrap the battery up tightly in paper towels or newspapers, seal it in an airtight ziploc bag squeezing out as much air as possible, and place it in your refrigerator (not freezer) for at least a day. Remove the bag and let it return to room temperature before removing the laptop battery and testing it. Don't remove the battery from the bag while still cool to avoid condensation.
5.After all this is done, the battery is still the same as before ,so you have to consider buying a new battery as a replacement battery.
Aftermarket batteries for your laptop are available ,  so that's really the way to replace. However, your options may well be limited if you don't consider the aftermarket batteries.
Another option if you are comfortable using a soldering iron (again, caution strongly advised) is to rebuild your battery with individual Li-ion cells, either bought new  or reclaimed from other laptop batteries. Instructions here: How to rebuild a Li-ion battery pack. When working with Li-ion batteries, keep away from inflammable objects, wear eye and skin protection, and keep a bucket of sand handy.

Also take a look at the service configuration guide for your version of Windows, so you can disable unnecessary services such as search indexing: Service Configurations.
Hopefully this will help you improve your laptop battery.

Hack dead laptop battery

 Hack dead laptop battery
As far as we know, the new 6 cells laptop battery die after 600-800 charging and discharging circles. Then we spend $80 or more to buy a replacement. Its too expensive, and these dead laptop batteries can pollute our environment if we dropped them random. Now I see a video about “hack dead laptop battery”. Let me introduce the “hack laptop battery ” for you.
Generally, our “dead laptop battery” is the laptop battery that cant work or cant supply any power. Most “dead laptop battery” are only power exhasut battery but not broken battery. Most accessories of these batteries are good, we can replace the battery cells to hack our laptop battery.
First you must prepaire some tools as multimeter, electric welding tool, tin stick, 6 new cells, wire and so on. Then you can hack dead laptop battery yourself following these steps:
First take the dead laptop battery out of your laptop.
Then take the battery apart.
You will see 6 cells connected by wire. Carefully examine every cells by a multimeter to ensure the cells are powerless.
Use a electric welding tool to separate cells from wires. Then take them out of battery shell.
Then welding the new cells together by consulting the dead cells combination and blueprint.
Put the new cells into battery pack and connect the wires and cells.
In the end put the two peices of battery back together. Cool down it for about 48 hours.
Now hack dead laptop battery complete. You will found that the new battery works again.
Also some strange shape batteries like thinkpad T61 battery and inspiron 6400 battery are the unsuitable hack example.
Please note that: do everything carefully, as the cells can explode if you strike it hard or the cell is too hot when you weld them. In all if you are a DIY expert, dont try to hack dead laptop battery, buy a new one is the best choice. hp HSTNN-FB21 battery hp HSTNN-IB04 battery hp HSTNN-IB09 battery hp HSTNN-IB20 battery
There, are other models that can be found ,so don't worry about the battery being out of power.

How long will your laptop Battery last?

How long will your laptop Battery last?
Almost all laptops use smart batteries, but the history of its development, you know? Why does your battery last for a very short time?
Actually,2016-era laptops use lithium ion batteries, with some thinner models using the flatter lithium polymer technology. These two technologies have largely replaced the older nickel metal-hydride batteries. Battery life is highly variable by model and workload, and can range from one hour to nearly a day. A battery's performance gradually decreases over time; substantial reduction in capacity is typically evident after one to three years of regular use, depending on the charging and discharging pattern and the design of the battery. Innovations in laptops and batteries have seen situations in which the battery can provide up to 24 hours of continued operation, assuming average power consumption levels. An example is the HP EliteBook 6930p when used with its ultra-capacity battery.
A laptop's battery is charged using an external power supply which is plugged into a wall outlet. The power supply outputs a DC voltage typically in the range of 7.2—24 volts. The power supply is usually external, and connected to the laptop through a DC connector cable. In most cases, it can charge the battery and power the laptop simultaneously. When the battery is fully charged, the laptop continues to run on power supplied by the external power supply, avoiding battery use. The battery charges in a shorter period of time if laptop is turned off or sleeping. The charger typically adds about 400 grams (0.88 lb) to the overall transporting weight of a laptop, although some models are substantially heavier or lighter. Most 2016-era laptops use a smart battery, a rechargeable battery pack with a built-in battery management system (BMS). The smart battery can internally measure voltage and current, and deduce charge level and SoH (State of Health) parameters, indicating the state of the cells.
This is generally true, but the type and each laptop battery is different, and there are good and bad points. And you can change the battery yourself. All we have to di is take good care of your battery,Its really not going to work.We can buy a new laptop battery.

Myth Busters About Battery

Myth Busters About Battery
Battery life is a perennial problem for smartphone users. While our handsets have become faster and more powerful over the years, smartphone batteries often last less than a day under heavy use, or even moderate use after a few months.
Battery problems on your smartphone? Here's what you need to know about batterys myth busters.

1.Does battery life get worse over time?
Yes, you're not making it up, your battery deteriorates over time. Modern lithium-ion batteries are designed to withstand a certain number of "cycles" - a full drain of the battery. A cycle is equivalent to a battery fully draining, but this doesn't all have to be from one charge.

2.Do I need to charge my phone when I first get it?
No. Earlier battery types like nickel cadmium had a "memory effect" that meant batteries would maintain a certain capacity based on how they had been charged and discharged. This meant that electronics products often came with advice to charge them fully and keep them plugged in for hours before using them.
However, with modern lithium-ion batteries most people agree that there is no such effect and the batteries are more reliable. A smartphone is fine to run out of the box without "priming" it beforehand.
For the same reason, you don't need to calibrate your smartphone by running the battery all the way down.

3.Should I wait until my phone battery has gone well down before recharging it, or can I charge it often?
No - in fact, you should do the opposite. Modern lithium-ion batteries gain nothing from being powered down, and long charging cycles are actually worse than short ones.

4.Does leaving my smartphone charging damage the battery?
Not usually. There have been suggestions that keeping your phone charging overnight or constantly can force the battery to deteriorate, due to it receiving more power than it needs. Modern battery systems, however, know to reduce this to a trickle, so it only tops up a battery with the power you need.
The exception is in very hot conditions. Heat causes lithium-ion batteries to decay slightly, reducing performance. Since charging a phone does heat it up slightly, combining this with hot temperatures can damage it. Try to keep your phone relatively cool when charging it, by placing it out of the sun.

5.Does turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth improve battery life? How about airplane mode?
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not nearly as power hungry as they used to be. Keeping them on is not likely to drain a huge amount of battery, although if you really want to completely maximise efficiency, it helps slightly.
Having your cellular radio look for signal in areas where there isn't any, however, is very draining. You can activate airplane mode if you don't need a mobile signal. And if you can connect to Wi-Fi, do it: Using 4G or 3G drains the battery far quicker than Wi-Fi does.

6.How else can I save battery?
There are several things that can be done to just reduce how much power the phone is using, which will both keep your battery going for longer and mean it deteriorating more slowly.
(a)Turning down the screen brightness
(b)Disabling location and background app refresh for apps that don't need it
At last ,its a good way to choose a replacement battery.Because replecement batteries are professionally made,it will be more useful. You can do to this website for more details..www.outeccbattery.com .Theres plenty of battery types and brands!
