Your Dead Laptop Battery needs to be revived

Your Dead Laptop Battery needs to be revived

A lot of people have a wrong idea about laptop battery maintaince. They add new life to your NiMH or NiCD laptop battery by placing it in a tightly-sealed plastic bag and freezing it for 12 hours. If you have a Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer battery, however, freezing it is actually dangerous. Instead, consider doing a battery calibration, which will both restore and prolong your battery power. While these methods won’t make your battery as good as new (you may only gain about thirty minutes of extra charge time from an older battery that no longer holds a charge), they will help you get the most of your laptop battery until you can buy a neW one

Reviving a NiMH or NiCD Battery in the Freezer

1
Determine if you have the right type of battery for this method. First, this method won’t work for Macs, as they all have lithium batteries. Your laptop battery has to be NiMH or NiCD in order for this method to work. If you do this method with the wrong battery, the battery will likely be destroyed.
Turn the computer off, then open the battery cover (typically on the bottom of the laptop). If the laptop battery says something like Li-ion, Li-on, Li-ion II, Lithium, LiPo, you do not have the proper battery for this method.
If you are unable to read the text on the battery (perhaps it rubbed off), call your computer manufacturer to find out, or use a different method.
If your NiMH or NiCD battery no longer holds a charge at all, this method may only get you an additional 30 minutes or so of laptop battery charge capability, which is much better than 0 minutes. If the battery is simply draining too quickly, you may be able to get better results with this method.
2
Remove your NiMH or NiCD battery. With the computer turned off, gently remove the battery from the laptop. The laptop battery should come out without having to use much force.
3
Place the battery in a sealed plastic bag. Any high-quality sealable bag will work. It’s important to make sure the bag is completely sealed and contains no holes.
4
Put the bagged battery in the freezer for about 12 hours. Don’t leave the laptop battery in there much longer than that, as freezing it for too long could cause it to explode.
5
Remove the bag from the freezer. Take the laptop battery out of the bag and let it warm up to room temperature, drying it occasionally with a towel if it appears damp. Let the battery warm back up to room temperature for up to 30 minutes before continuing.
6
Put the battery back into the laptop. If there is a cover that goes over your laptop battery, slide it securely into place as well.
7
Connect the laptop to a power source. Without turning the computer back on, plug the machine back in to a power source and leave it this way overnight (or for several hours during the day).
8
Drain the battery. To drain the battery quickly, it’s best to turn the computer on, unplug it from the power source, and do something system-intensive, such as watching a video with the screen brightness turned up.
9
Charge and drain your laptop battery again. Do this step at least twice, but preferably 4-5 times. Once you’ve followed these steps, your formerly-dead battery should now hold a charge for a least a half hour, hopefully more.

Re-calibrating Any Laptop Battery

1
Determine if this method is right for you. This method will work for any type of laptop battery. Re-calibrating the battery fixes issues where the battery meter on your laptop no longer appears accurate. It also does a complete discharge and recharge, which can add extra life to your laptop battery.
2
Charge the battery to a 100% charge. It doesn’t matter whether the computer is off or on for this step, but you’ll need to have the computer turned on eventually to know whether or not the battery has reached a full charge. Once the battery meter reaches 100% leave the computer plugged in to the power source for two more hours
3
Drain the laptop battery. Disconnect the laptop from the power source and drain the battery completely. You can speed up this process by using the computer to do something system-intensive, such as watching a movie or editing video.
4
Leave the computer unplugged for 3 to 5 hours after the drain. This will ensure that any phantom power is fully drained from the unit.
00001.
5
Fully charge the battery. Charge the battery back up to the 100% mark. At this point, your laptop battery has been recalibrated

Performing a Full Recharge

1
Decide whether this method is right for you. Doing a full recharge will work on any laptop hardware, no matter the battery type. Try this method if your battery is draining more quickly than it used to.
2
Completely drain the battery. Even if the computer is turned off, the battery may still have enough charge to power the LED power light. You'll know the battery is completely drained when the power light no longer blinks.
3
Charge the laptop battery with the computer turned off. Plug the computer back in to begin the charging process, but don’t turn the computer on. If the computer turns on without your prompting, shut it down right away.
4
Leave the computer charging (and turned off) for 48 hours. Don’t turn the computer on for the entire 48 hour charging period.
5
Turn the computer back on after 48 hours. The laptop battery should now be able to hold a charge better than before.
Different methods are used for different laptop batteries,,master these methods ,no matter what problems we can solve.

4 secret ways to revive any dead phone battery

4 secret ways to revive any dead phone battery

With mobile phones now widely used across almost every age group, phone battery is also  widely used ,people increasingly experience diminishing standby times following prolonged use.

But why does this occur? It's primarily caused by the quality of the phone battery. This is why maintenance of your phone battery is crucial to improve longevity, but it's never too late. In this practical guide, I will highlight the main methods to easily and quickly prolong your battery's lifespan.

Method 1: Wipe and clean your mobile phone

After long term use, the metal surface of the lithium battery and even the contacts can suffer from oxidation. This may shorten the lifespan and effectiveness of the lithium battery. Carefully and routinely remove any residue/rust that has built up to ensure the battery has a clean contact with the phone.
To do this, gently wipe the metal contents of the battery and your mobile phone with a suitable cleaning tool. This also improves recharging efficiency and the battery use duration.

Method 2: Bring a dead battery back to life by freezing

Lithium reactions in batteries work using a charge-discharge process in which positive and negative electric charges collide with each other. Under normal room temperature, the kinetic energy is relatively sizeable, however as the battery is maintaining an active/ready state, electric leakage can frequently occur. However, under low temperature conditions, the lithium coating on the battery's surface, along with the electrolyte micro-structure and the interface will be significantly altered leading to a temporary inactive state that minimizes electric leakage. This extends the phone battery's lifespan allowing it to be recharged across more cycles.
Step 1:
Wrap your ageing phone battery in old newspaper and rewrap it with plastic film 2 times. Alternatively, place the phone battery inside a tightly sealed plastic bag that prevents it from getting wet.
Step 2:
Place the battery in the ice compartment of your fridge, and take it out after 3 days.
Step 3:
Remove the wrapping and place the battery in cool location away from direct sunlight for 2 days.
Step 4:
Insert the battery into your phone but don't power on your device. Instead, plug the phone into the proper charger and allow the device to charge for 48 hours.
After the device has charged for 48-hours, turn the device on and check the phone battery power level. If successful, this method will have revived your previously dead battery allowing it to hold a charge again.

Method 3: Try jump starting the battery

This method is generally effective for mobile phone batteries that have either reached their lifespan limit or have been left discharged for a long period of time; they eventually lose their ability to hold a charge. In fact, this can also occur to a phone battery during long distance shipping, due to the travel time from one country to another. But now you can learn how to resolve the issue yourself.

Before doing this, you will need the following:
    • 9V battery, for its easy-to-access terminals
    • A length of split wire to connect to the battery
    • Electrical tape to secure the wire
    • The battery itself

Step 1:
The positive and negative terminals on the 9V battery will be clearly marked. Identify them and connect the corresponding side of your wire to each terminal, being sure to cover the connection with electrical tape for safety.
Step 2:
On your cell phone battery, the positive and negative terminals will also be marked. Connect the wire to these as well, remembering again to secure with electrical tape.
Warning: Don't connect a positive side to a negative side.
Step 3:
Leave the batteries connected for between 10 to 60 seconds, or just long enough for your cell phone battery to get warm. Monitor the temperature and time closely.
Step 4:
As soon as the battery becomes warm, disconnect the batteries immediately. DO NOT try to fully charge your cell phone battery this way. Place the battery into your phone. You may need to charge the battery the rest of the way as normal, then try to power on the phone.

Method 4: A small bulb may help

Fully discharge the ageing battery and recharge it to activate it. By doing this kind of deep discharging, the aim is to prime the battery for deeper recharging by fully draining out internal energy first.
You will need 2 pieces of wires here and connect it to the positive and negative pole of your phone battery.
Following this, connect your phone to a 1.5V small bulb.
Any residual power contained in the battery will be transferred to the bulb until it has been fully exhausted.
Note: the bulb light will gradually grow dimmer until there is no light emitted. This method is not the most effective, but it works to some extent.

Actually, the best method is daily care. You should adhere to the standard charging procedures and times as close as possible, it’s better to do this during the initial 3 times, and ideally from the first time. When your phone shows the low battery warning, try your best to charge it immediately.
Finally, avoid charging your phone overnight, even if it's a habit, due to the impact that unstable charging voltage can have on your phone battery.
These methods teach you how to maintan your mobile phone battery ,hope to be useful to you.

How do you charge your batterty?

How do you charge your batterty?

If users want to prolong the battery’s effective use of time, in addition to the quality of the charger should be guaranteed, the right skills is also essential to the charge, because the poor quality of the charger or charging the wrong methods will affect battery life and cycle life The following is the 14 charging tips you shoud know:
   1. Before the battery taken out from factory, manufacturers have carried out active treatment, and conduct a pre-charging, so the batteries have some extra electricity, a friend said that the battery charge in accordance with the time period of adjustment, standby is still a serious shortage, if the battery is indeed the genuine battery, then in this case, adjustment period should be extended a further 3 to 5 times fully charge and discharge.
   2. If you buy a new cell phone is a lithium-ion, then the first 3 to 5 times charge commonly referred to as an adjustment period, it should be charged more than 14 hours to ensure the full cell phone activation of lithium-ion activity. Lithium-ion battery have no memory effect, but have a strong inertness, should be given to fully activated in order to guarantee that the future using can achieve the best performance.
   3. For some automated intelligent rapid charger, when the lights change direction, only means it is full of 90%. Charger will automatically change with the slow charging until the battery is full. It’s best to use it after the battery is full, otherwise it will shorten the usage time.
   4. Before charging, lithium batteries do not need special discharge; battery will be damaged of improper discharge. As far as possible, charging should using slow charge mode, reducing the fast charge mode; time should not exceed 24 hours. After three to five times the battery fully charge and discharge cycles, its internal chemicals will all be activated to achieve best results.
   5. Please use the original or the good reputation brand of chargers, lithium batteries use dedicated lithium battery charger, and follow the instructions, otherwise it will damage the battery or even dangerous.
   6. There are many users’ batteries in charge but the phone still open; in fact, it will hurt the mobile phone life very easily, because in the charging process, the cell phone circuit boards be fever, at this time if there are external phone, it may create an instant return current, damage on the phone’s internal parts.
   7. The battery life determined by the number of repeated charge and discharge, it should try to avoid extra battery power when charging; it will shorten the battery life. Phone power off for more than 7 days, the mobile phone battery should be fully discharged, charging adequate electricity and then use.
   8. Mobile phone battery exists self-discharge, when not using, the nickel-metal hydride batteries will discharge about 1% of the remaining capacity in a day, lithium batteries will discharge about 0.2% ~ 0.3% in a day. In charging the battery, try to use a dedicated outlet; do not share household electrical appliances such as TV with the charger in the same socket.
   9. Although the mobile phone within the network coverage region, but when the phone power off and are charging, the phone can not receive and dial a call. At this point, you can use the phone’s not connected transfer functions, transferred the cell phone to the phone aside in order to prevent loss of calls, this method is also can be use for the mobile phone non network coverage or in weak signal area that temporarily unable to connect.

   10. Do not expose the battery in hot or cold, like a dog day, do not put the phone on the car to withstand the scorching sun exposure; or get it to the air-conditioned room, on the air conditioning blowing straight places. When charging, the battery has a little heat is normal, but can not be under high temperature. To avoid this condition happen, it is best charge at the room temperature, and do not cover anything on the phone.
   11. Before Nickel-cadmium (N iCd) charging, it must ensure that the battery completely without electricity, and then charge must ensure that the battery fully charged.
   12. If the mobile phone battery place too long without use, it is best to bring the phone to the maintenance department to activate the batteries, you can use a constant voltage DC device, adjusting the voltage of 5 ~ 6V, current at 500 ~ 600mA reverse connect the battery. Pay attention that the liberalization of touch, repeat three times at most, after such treatment, use original charger to carry out adjustment charge.
   13. It is not good for the battery charging for too long, for battery of not protecting the circuit, charge should be stopped immediately when it is full, and otherwise the battery’s performance will be impacted due to the heat or overheating.
   14. Lithium-ion battery must select dedicated charger, or they might not reach saturation, impact on its performance. After charging, the battery should avoid placing more than 12 hours or more on the charger, separate battery and cell phone when not for a long time.
With these tips, you don’t have to worry about the battery life because of the wrong way.

How to make your laptop battery going longer

How to make your laptop battery going longer

More and more lapotp battery life has become very short, now some of them are out of power for a while. How to make your laptop battery going longer?
Tips to make your laptop battery last longer ,Tips to Make Your Battery Stay Apartment is as follows:
   1. Just In Case Your Laptop Charger Dead. This means the opposite point of error on the second one. Charging the laptop is off is actually the best way for you to remain durable battery. Due to the current state of the dead would go to the battery maximum. Where will flow into the battery prioritized. So the laptop  battery will still be good and durable to use the current is stored up inside your batteries. This is how I apply on my Toshiba laptop and have my laptop battery 1 year as a new laptop battery. This saves one for me, because if you see the price of laptop batteries ...
   2. Minimize Use In The Laptop Program. Number of programs that we use to make the battery will be quickly absorbed. Especially when it's used for online especially if the download, or play games. then the current fastest absorbed over there. We recommend that you open a program that is really needed just to save power usage. Because usually when we open Winamp, Ms.Word, Adobe Photoshop, etc. then the lot will be issued. So open the program that actually used it. In addition it also turn off your speakers sound or if it is not needed and also reduce the contrast of the display for all to help conserve battery power. And if you want to save used theme that win 98 bit takes enegy of battery only or dim the lights for a laptop screen.
   3. Limit Laptop Usage Laptops usually without us knowing that we can get through the use of 5 hours, the laptop battery continues to run force or continues to flow without any human. No rest just needed a break batteries too, is necessary so that the battery does not quickly exhausted quickly lowbatt alias. It takes the limit of battery power in order to survive and not be forced to continue to flow through the usage hours or up to one day. For example, after you wear continuously for 3 hours in the given time battery try for a short break ... Thus the need for the use of the limits so that the laptop battery remains durable. And unlike happen like this that wears directly chargered, then used again after the battery runs out then it continued to be used again and so on.
This of course makes the battery for continued use. At least we too must know its rules in order to save your laptop battery life. So I can convey the information, the information I have to say this based on my experience using the above earlier. As a result my laptop battery until now is still just over a year despite Airport. Solidified.
Please try the tips above hopefully can help you all. Hopefully these tips provide considerable benefit to readers here.

How To Take Care of Your phone Battery the Right Way

How To Take Care of Your phone Battery the Right Way

Now,most people face the same problem is :cell phone battery won't last all day ,Some even have to use electricity for half a day.

Actually, the phone is a good thing, your smartphone is a minor miracle, a pocket-sized computer that can fulfill almost every whim. But none of its superpowers matter a bit if it runs out of juice. With removable batteries becoming more and more rare, you've got to take good care of the one you got. Fortunately, it's not to hard keep the lithium-ion powering your everything-machine happy if you follow a few simple rules

Obviously, the first rule for extending your phone battery life is not using up all your battery life playing Candy Crush and walking around with Wi-Fi and GPS enabled when you're not using either and really, really need your phone to last that extra hour. But aside from that, there are some basic rules for care and charging, and they're the simplest baseline for a healthy phone  battery.

Top it off

You may vaguely recall hearing something about rechargeable batteries and the "memory effect." You know, that if you don't "teach" your rechargeable batteries their full potential by taking them from totally full to totally empty, they'll "forget" part of their capacity. Well forget all that. Right now. It does not apply to your phone.

Battery memory is a real thing, but it applies to nickel-based batteries; your trusty sidekick (literal Sidekick or otherwise) doubtlessly has a lithium-ion battery, and it needs to be treated a little differently. Specifically, it should be topped off whenever you get the chance.

To get the most out of a lithium-ion battery, you should try to keep it north of 50 percent as much as possible. For the most part, going from all the way full to all the way empty won't help; in fact, it'll do a little damage if you do it too often. That said, it's smart to do one full discharge about once a month for "calibration," but don't do it all the time. Running the whole gamut on a regular basis won't make your phone battery explode or anything, but it will shorten its  lifespan.

But! You don't want to have battery charging constantly either; lithium-ion batteries can get overheated. Luckily for you, your charger is smart enough to help with this, and will cut your phone off for a spell once it's full. And to complicate matters a even further, your phone battery doesn't particularly like beingall the way full either. In fact, your phone  battery will behave the best if you take it off the charge before it hits 100 percent, and leaving it plugged when it's already full is going to cause a little degradation.

So if you're really particular about optimizing your phone  battery life, you should try to go from around 40 percent to around 80 percent in one go, and then back down whenever possible. A bunch of tiny charges throughout the day is your second best bet, and going from zero to 100 and then 100 to zero on a regular basis will put the most strain on your lithium-ion battery.

Keep it cool

It's easy to worry about bad charging habits thanks to the training we've had from old rechargeable batteries, but lithium-ion batteries have a worse enemy than sub-optimal charging: Heat. Your phone battery will degrade much, much faster when it's hot, regardless of whether it's being used or just sitting around doing nothing.

At an average temperature of 32 degrees fahrenheit, a lithium-ion battery will lose six percent of its maximum capacity per year. At 77 degrees, that number jumps to 20 percent, and at 104 degrees it's a whopping 35. Sure, it's not exactly practical (or sane) to keep your phone in the fridge, but it's worth going out of your way to prevent long stays in hot cars and the like.

Avoid wireless charging

Wireless charging can be incredibly convenient if your phone can do it, but it's not without its disadvantages. The inductive, wireless chargers out there today have this nasty habit of generating a fair bit of waste heat. And while wasted energy is just a bummer in general, that heat will also toast your battery in the process. That's no bueno. It's a little less convenient, but standard plug-in charging is going to keep your phone battery in better shape, especially if you're some place warm to begin with.

Never go to zero

If you're going to be shelving any lithium-ion battery for a long time, try to leave it with at least 40 percent phone battery power to tide it over. Lithium-ion batteries don't hemorrhage power when their not in use, but they'll lose maybe five to ten percent of their charge each month.

And when lithium-ion batteries get too low—like, literally zero percent—they get seriously unstable, and dangerous to charge. To prevent explosion-type disasters when you go to charge one that's been sitting around for a month or two, lithium-ion batteries have built-in self-destruct circuits that will disable (read: destroy) the battery for good, if it reaches rock bottom. And sure, that'll save you from a face full of battery-acid, but it'll also leave you short one  phone battery.

Only charge fast when you need to

A lot of newer phones support some sort of "fast charging" feature. These suckers will let you juice your phone battery  up from zero to around half-full in just about a half hour. It's a life-saver for when you've only got a few minutes to spare, but it's also not great for your phone battery. Surprise!

Lithium-ion batteries live their longest lives when charged and discharged atlow, consistent speeds. Fast charging is not that. But since fast charging is only for the beginning of a charge cycle—and phones and their chargers are smart enough to only apply the extra voltage when it's useful—the damage isn't too bad. Still, if you're not in a hurry, it's probably better for your phone battery to apply a slow and steady charge through a low-voltage charger.

Don't sweat it too much

It's easy to get protective of your  phone battery, but it's also easy to get lazy. And that's fine, because as long as you're not a complete idiot, you'll be OK. Typically, a lithium-ion battery lasts for three to five years, and chances are you're going to want to swap out your gadgets sometime in that window anyway. The slight damage of a technically bad idea—like leaving your phone plugged in all night every night, or using fast charging when you need it—is worth the convenience.

Still, it's pretty easy to keep your  phone battery reasonably healthy just by avoiding particularly egregious torture like letting your phone battery discharge from full to zero every single day, or leaving it in a hot car all the time. And the next time you make it back home with power to spare, you'll thank yourself for it.

Take good car of your phone battery ,because it is very important for your smartphone.

A lot of people don’t know how to charge a laptop battery ,but the battery does a lot of damage and even other faults. Learn how to charge the battery ,and your laptop battery life will be extended.
You must charge your laptop battery to keep it operational. You charge your laptop battery by plugging the laptop into a wall socket. You can recharge your battery whether the battery is fully drained or not.
Note that lithium-ion batteries have a rapid-charging option. This option is available either on a custom tab inside the Power Options dialog box or through special battery software that came with your laptop. In a pinch, a rapid charge can save time. Otherwise, you want a nice, full, slow charge for your laptop battery. Other battery-charging points are as follows:
